Unga Forskare/ Young Researchers

In 2021, we became Sweden's first certified partner school with Unga Forskare. This recognition highlights our leading role in integrating science and research into our education.

Through this partnership, our students gain unique access to the world of research, engaging with current scientific developments both in the classroom and through external activities. This collaboration actively fosters their interest in science, research, and technology. The partnership also opens doors to prestigious competitions such as Forsknings-SM, organized by Unga Forskare. For instance, in 2023, our student Jessika Fröjmark won with her project on adaptive cruise control, showcasing its potential to reduce traffic congestion by 70%. Her achievement earned her a spot in Sweden's research team and the opportunity to compete at Mostratec in Brazil. Our goal is to create an inspiring learning environment where students' scientific curiosity can thrive. Through this partnership, they gain valuable experiences, credentials for the future, and a clear vision of how they can tackle tomorrow's scientific challenges.

Beyond Jessika's success, other students from Franklins Gymnasium have also excelled, with multiple finalists and semifinalists in Unga Forskare's competitions, underscoring the school's dedication to fostering scientific talent.

Students regularly meet researchers from organizations like AstraZeneca and other institutions in the Gothenburg region. These interactions, including lectures, field visits, and hands-on projects, provide valuable insights into scientific methods and real-world problem-solving, making learning both inspiring and relevant.
